Local Ipswich mum, Lisa is one of the humblest people you will ever meet!
After an acting career, Lisa now owns and runs her own talent management company. Lisa supports actors to find auditions, performance opportunities and works with them to develop their acting skills further.
After an overnight stay at Ipswich Hospital earlier in the year with her son, Lisa knew she found her new charity of choice: Ipswich Hospital Foundation and the Children’s Ward at Ipswich Hospital.
“I was fortunate enough to meet some lovely young guests at the hospital that have some tough journeys ahead of them but have the absolute love and care of the nurses every minute they are there.”
“The next morning when my son and I were playing in the playroom, I noticed some of the toys were worn and damaged, yet he was so happy to be out of the bed and playing.”
“I felt to best show my appreciation for the wonderful work the hospital and their staff do, the least I could do was give back and see what needed to be replaced,” she said.
As soon as Lisa knew we were taking gifts to the Children’s Ward for Christmas, Lisa had new toys to us within the hour – she didn’t elf around at all!
“I don’t think I could ever be rich, what is the point of all that wealth when you see others with nothing.”
“If everyone just gave a little it would accumulate into something so beautiful.”
“It’s not about choosing to give back, it is about choosing what community and world we want to live in, and what we want to pass on to our children.”
“Make the effort to put a smile on someone’s face, not because you want something from them, but because you want to make someone happy”.
“Gifts don’t always have to mean money either at Christmas,” she said.
