Introducing the Regina & Vicki Doig Research Scholarship for Cancer Care
Vicki Doig is the former Director of the Milford Street Ipswich Kindergarten and a proud third-generation Ipswichian. Vicki has partnered with us at Ipswich Hospital Foundation on a new project that will achieve our combined vision of funding local research by local researchers, for the benefit of our local Ipswich and West Moreton Community.
Together, the Regina & Vicki Doig Research Scholarship for Cancer Care was launched in 2021.
Regina Doig was Vicki’s older sister. Amongst many other talents, Regina was a qualified music and language secondary school teacher who tragically died of lymphoma cancer at the age of just 39 in 1987. Regina gave her living body over to her doctors before her passing and fervently believed that with research, other lives could be saved in the future.
Vicki is passionate about building the capability of the region through innovative projects and research, and wishes to leave a lasting legacy in her sister’s name to enrich the lives of people in Ipswich and the West Moreton area. We invite you to become part of this important project that has been 34 years in the making.
With your support, the Regina & Vicki Doig Research Scholarship for Cancer Care will provide much-needed assistance in funding local research by local researchers, for the benefit of our local Ipswich and West Moreton Community.
